Terms of Use
Last updated October 28, 2026
Route Planner is a free tool. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Routes are suggestions
Routes, distances and times are estimates from map data that can be incomplete or out of date. Addresses can be placed in the wrong spot, especially ones marked as approximate. Always use your own judgment, follow traffic laws and road signs, and check anything important before relying on it.
Don't use this site while driving. Set up your route before you go, or let a passenger handle it.
What you upload
You're responsible for the addresses, files and photos you add. Only add information you have the right to use, and don't upload sensitive personal details that aren't needed to plan a route. Addresses read from photos can contain mistakes, so check them before you rely on them.
Fair use
- The service has hourly limits so it stays free and available for everyone.
- Don't use scripts or bots to send requests in bulk, try to get around the limits, or interfere with the service.
- Member access codes are for the person or group they were given to. Don't share them publicly. We can change or revoke them at any time.
We may limit or block access that we believe breaks these rules or harms the service.
Map data and other services
Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Address lookups use the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder and OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Links to Google Maps and other sites are covered by those sites' own terms.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It can change, have errors, be unavailable, or stop at any time, and your saved stops can be lost if your browser data is cleared.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the people who run Route Planner are not liable for any loss or damage from using it or relying on it. That includes missed or late stops, wrong turns, extra mileage, lost data, and any indirect or consequential loss. Because the service is free, if any liability can't be excluded, it is limited to $0.
Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts to help pay for running the site. They don't buy any service or guarantee, and they are not tax-deductible unless the donation page says otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If they change, the date at the top changes too, and using the site after that means you accept the new terms. Questions: [email protected].
